On August 14, Gerald Jones Mazda traded the showroom for a dunk tank, all to support the kids at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta.
## Who took the plunge
Four good sports climbed onto the seat for Dunk the Dealer: Drew Jones, Shawn Sweeny, Kirk Epps and Bryce McDaniel.
Kirk and Bryce took it personally. The two of them spent a lot of time on that seat, kept climbing back up for more, and by the end of the day were pretty much the main attraction.
Everyone went home absolutely soaked, and every splash put the spotlight where it belongs: on the kids and the work the Clubs do every day.
## Why the Boys & Girls Clubs
The Boys & Girls Clubs have been part of Augusta since 1951. Today they run 10 club sites across five counties and serve more than 7,000 kids a year, giving them a safe place to go after school and in the summer, and mentors who show up for them. Their mission says it best: to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most.
Our team lives here and raises our families here. If getting soaked helps more kids in our community find a place to belong, we'll climb back up on that seat any time.
## You can help too
You don't need to buy anything to make a difference. You can give to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta or follow along with them on Instagram.
Thank you to everyone who came out to take a shot, and to the Boys & Girls Clubs staff who make a difference for CSRA kids every day.
